Berea Hospital is proud to announce the purchase of a new 16-slice CT scanner. This state-of-the-art scanner provides several benefits to our patients and their physicians, including much faster scans, so our patients do not have to spend as much time on the scanner. The new scanner also makes more detailed and better quality scans, while allowing for the new capabilities of scanning vessels for blockages and assessing the calcification of coronary arteries. And later in the New Year, our new Dexa Scanner will offer patients bone density scans to evaluate for osteoporosis.
