Message #3 (Strokes)
Strokes are the leading cause of disability and the third leading cause of
death in the United States. St. Anthony Central Hospital is a designated primary
stroke center with state-of-the-art treatments available to help stroke victims
- if they are seen in time. Studies have shown that most strokes can be identified
by asking the person three simple questions:
1. Ask the person to smile.
2. Ask the person to raise both arms.
3. Ask the person to speak a simple sentence.
If they have trouble with any of these tasks, call 911 immediately

and Trauma Center)
The familiar orange helicopters you see in the sky are part of the Flight
for Life fleet. Founded and operated by St. Anthony Hospitals, Flight for
Life Colorado has been an important community service since 1972. Flight for
Life has been the model for more than 200 emergency medical flight programs
worldwide. Coupling the services of Flight for Life with the area's leading
Level I trauma center means that St. Anthony Central Hospital is always there
for the most critically sick and injured patients. Thank you for calling.
